Procurement Supervisor, Bilingual Spanish

Salaried, full-time role in East County San Diego

$100k - $120k depending on industry and supervisory experience

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Summary

Cost-conscious Procurement Supervisor responsible for overseeing purchasing operations, driving cost-saving initiatives, negotiating with suppliers, and improving product quality.

Essential Duties

• Negotiate service and purchasing contracts.
• Develop and implement improved procurement strategies.
• Lead and supervise buyers; delegate tasks effectively.
• Manage the full supply chain and escalate potential issues to leadership.
• Establish policies and reporting metrics to reduce costs and increase productivity.
• Hold weekly 1:1 meetings with direct reports and ensure they do the same with their teams.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance.

Job Requirements

• 7+ years of experience with a degree, or 10 years equivalent; biotech preferred.
• 3+ years supervisory procurement experience.
• Bilingual, fluent Spanish
• CPIM, CSCP, or CPM certification preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills for domestic and global contracts.
• Ability to compare bids and make informed purchasing decisions.
• Valid driver's license, insurance, and clean driving record.
